Software built for the way Jewish communities actually work.
Jewish Development helps shuls and nonprofits organize their member data and communicate with their communities, and builds online tools that organizations, communities, and individuals can use every day.
Platforms serving real communities
Each project began with a rabbi, a board, or a volunteer who needed something that didn't exist yet. Open any project for details.
The Jewish Brief collects the day's Jewish headlines from across a wide range of outlets into one short, readable email. No autoplay, no infinite scroll — a digest you can finish with your coffee and forward to your board.
Visit The Jewish Brief →Community professionals, lay leaders, and anyone who wants the day's Jewish news in one email.
What it does- A single daily email drawn from many sources
- Short summaries with links to the original reporting
- Readable on a phone in under five minutes
- Sponsorable by organizations that want to reach the community
Shabbat times should take one tap, not a search through apps and PDFs. Shabbot detects your location or takes a city or ZIP code and shows candle-lighting, havdalah, and the full zmanim for the week, with your own customs for candle offset and havdalah opinion remembered. Every city has its own indexed page, the widget drops into any website, and a weekly email reminder arrives before Shabbat.
Visit shabbot.org →Anyone looking up Shabbat times, and synagogues or sites that want to show them.
What it does- Auto-detect, city search, or US ZIP code lookup
- Candle-lighting, havdalah, and full zmanim with your customs saved
- Indexed city pages and printable weekly sheets
- Embeddable widget and documented JSON API
- Weekly email reminders with double opt-in
Posting a job and hoping the right person finds it is slow. The Jewish Jobs App sends new openings straight to job seekers' phones and inboxes, and its Broadcast feature lets an employer push one opening to every job seeker whose alerts match, for far less than a traditional job board listing.
JewishJobs.App →Job seekers across the Jewish community, and the organizations hiring them.
What it does- App with push notifications for new matching jobs
- Email digest of the latest openings
- Broadcast an opening to every matching job seeker in one step
- Simple, low-cost Broadcast credits instead of costly listings

When someone dies, the details of the shiva often travel by phone tree and forwarded email, and they only reach the direct people connected. What about people who aren't on your shul mailing list, but are one town over. They may not get word until a week later. Shiva Pages gives a family or their synagogue one page to post the details — times, address, minyan needs, what is helpful to bring — and gives everyone else a calm place to find them and offer support.
Visit shivapages.org →Synagogues, communal organizations, and families arranging a shiva.
What it does- Post shiva times, location, and minyan needs in minutes
- Share one link instead of a forwarded chain of emails
- Condolence notes and meal coordination in one place
- Synagogue-branded listings for member families
Finding a specific kosher product usually means calling around or asking in a group chat. Koshopper lets anyone post a product they found, with its hechsher, store, and price, in under a minute, so the next shopper can search for it by store or location instead.
Visit koshopper.com →Kosher shoppers, and the stores and brands that want to reach them.
What it does- Post a product with photo, UPC, store, and price in under a minute
- Search by product, store, or location
- Directory of hechsherim and certifying agencies
- Reviews and saved favorites
- Sponsored listings for stores and brands
Every shul runs on volunteers — kiddush setup, meal trains, holiday programs, security shifts — and coordinating them usually means a spreadsheet and a lot of texting. SignupOK gives each program its own signup page with live availability, so people pick what fits their schedule and organizers see at a glance what is still open.
Signup OK! →Synagogues, schools, and community organizations coordinating volunteers and participants.
What it does- Public signup pages for each program, event, or shift
- Live slot availability and guest signups with no account required
- Standby lists and swap requests when plans change
- Rosters and CSV export for organizers
- Messages to fill open slots in one click

A shul's news lives in a weekly email that only reaches the people already on the list. Shul Feed gives each synagogue its own feed on its own address, embeddable on the website it already has, and collects the public posts of every shul in the network into one neighborhood feed. Members post simchas, shiva notices, events, and volunteer calls under the shul's own privacy rules; the shul's existing calendar connects in minutes and Shabbat times come built in.
Visit shulfeed.com →Synagogues and their administrators, members and families nearby, and the neighboring shuls they share with.
What it does- Publish once and reach members and families in neighboring towns
- Four privacy levels, from public to members-only, with headline teasers
- Embed the feed on your current site with one tag
- Connect your existing calendar; Schedule tab with Shabbat times and parsha
- Member posts with per-category review, polls, and volunteer calls
- Free for shuls, reviewed before approval

Holiday greetings have moved from printed cards to forwarded images that get lost in a group chat. Holiday Greetings lets you build a personal greeting page with your photo, your words, and an optional charity, send it to your contact list on schedule, and collect everyone's replies in one place.
Families sending Rosh Hashanah and holiday greetings, and organizations reaching donors and members.
What it does- Four-step builder, from blank page to sent in about ten minutes
- Your photo, colors, message, and a charity of your choice
- Contact import and scheduled sending
- Guestbook for replies, with moderation
- Simple stats on who opened and responded

Safety work depends on trust, and open social networks are the wrong place to build it. Jewish Safety Network is a gated community where members join through a vouch, earn trust over time, and connect through clubs, events, and private messaging, with full control over what others can see about them.
Community members involved in safety and security, joining by invitation, application, or a vetted introduction.
What it does- Invitation and vouch-based membership, no open sign-up
- Tiered trust levels earned over time
- Clubs, events, a marketplace, and private messaging
- Privacy controls on every part of your profile
- Private contact relay that never exposes personal details

Years of experience, now focused on Jewish communal life.
Our team brings years of experience building software and managing data for organizations of every size. Today we put that experience to work for Jewish shuls and nonprofits, helping them bring scattered member records into one organized directory and keep their communities informed.
We also build tools that organizations, communities, and individuals can use directly, from shiva notices and the sale of chametz to community classifieds and a daily news digest. Everything we make is designed with privacy in mind and documented so your staff and volunteers can run it with confidence.
Listen, design, build, and fit it to your team.
We listen first
We sit with the rabbi, the office manager, and the volunteers who actually do the work, and learn how things run today.
We design the right fit
We spec a solution around your needs, your budget, and how your organization actually runs, so you know exactly what you're getting before we build.
We build it to work
A working solution in your hands quickly, tested against your real data and day-to-day tasks rather than a slide deck.
We fit it into your workflow
We help your staff and volunteers bring it into their daily routine, with training, documentation, and support as it settles in.
Built with and for communal organizations
Synagogues and shuls
Offices managing member records, lifecycle events, dues, and a calendar that never pauses.
Federations and agencies
Organizations coordinating across many communities that each work a little differently.
Rabbis and clergy
Practical tools for the halachic and pastoral work that fills the week before every chag.
Volunteer and chesed groups
Small teams doing enormous work who need coordination, not another dashboard to learn.
Schools and youth programs
Staff who need to reach families quickly and keep student information private.
Communities and individuals
Neighbors who want to find each other for a ride, a room, a recommendation, or a minyan.
Trusted by the people doing the work
We had three membership lists that never agreed: the office database, the dues spreadsheet, and the rabbi's email list. Lev on the Jewish Development team merged everything, flagged the duplicates and outdated addresses for us to review, and linked households to yahrzeits and dues records. For the first time our staff works from one directory we actually trust.
Our announcements were scattered across email blasts, WhatsApp groups, and a newsletter few people opened. Lev helped us organize our lists and set up one clear way to reach our members, and now people actually see what we send.
When a member family is sitting shiva, we post the times, address, and minyan schedule on Shiva Pages and send one link to the congregation. We loved the idea and so do all the families that have used it so far.
Between kiddush setup, the chesed meal train, Purim, the shul dinner, and security shifts, we need hundreds of volunteer slots filled every year. SignupOK puts every program and event in one place, people sign up for what fits their schedule, and reminders go out automatically. I stopped chasing people by text and email. Thanks Lev for giving us early access to this system. It's fantastic!
The big job boards wanted hundreds of dollars a month for a single listing, which is a lot for a day school budget. We posted our openings on JewishJob for a fraction of that and heard from candidates who already understood our community and our calendar.
Something here fit your organization? Let's talk.
If our work looks like the kind of help your organization could use, reach out. Whether it's a tangle of spreadsheets, a process that still runs on paper, or a tool you wish existed, we'll look at it with you and tell you honestly whether we can help, or whether something already in our pipeline fits your needs.
No pitch, no obligation. Tell us what you're dealing with and we'll write back.
Untangle a technical problem
Bring us the thing that isn't working — the database nobody trusts, the signup form that lives in three places, the website no one can update — and we'll help sort it out.
Add features to what we've built
Most of what's in our projects started as a suggestion from a staff member. If one of our tools almost works for you, tell us what's missing and we'll see about adding it.
Raise funds from your community
We help organizations build their own fundraising tools, with signup and contribution pages tailored to your campaigns, your members, and the way your community gives.
